When applied in food powder, fumed silica is added as anti-caking agent and free flow aid. Due to change in temperature, humidity and pressure during storage and transport period, powder is easy to cake, which has bad effect on quality and shelf life of end product.
Fumed silica is with small particle size, large surface area and porous structure, those properties ensures good adsorption
ability and great hygroscopicity. In food powder, fumed silica covers all around the powder, it can separate particles, so to
decrease viscosity and to ensure excellent flowing property. And, numerous internal pores of fumed silica can adsorb the humidity around food product, it avoids agglomeration when stored.

Product Applications
 

Concrete 
With very small particle size and high pozzolanic activity index, micro silica can improve compression resistance, flexure resistance, permeability resistance, corrosion resistance, impact resistance and wear resistance of concrete. It is used for UHPC, HPC, PRC, Shotcrete, Impact and abrasion resistant concrete, Prestressed Concrete etc

 

Cement
Silica fume as an admixture in the production of cement to increase durability and compressive strength, decrease permeability, better control of gas leakageIncrease durability and compressive strength, decrease permeability, better control of gas leakage. I.e. Oil Well Grouting Cement.

Refractory material
Silica Fume can improve the fluidity, volume density,  strength, the cohesion and high temperature performance of refractory, and prolong the service life of refractory.

Prestressed high strength concrete parts

Microsilica has large surface area and strong adsorbability, which has achieved remarkable results as a binder for pellet.
It is proved that the pellet made by microsilica is not easy to be broken during transportation because of its higher strength than ordinary
material.

Rubber product & Polymers
After adding a certain amount of silica fume to the rubber, its elongation and shrinkage, tear resistance and aging resistance have been greatly improved. This kind of rubber also has good dielectric property and low water absorption capacity.
